OUR COSMIC JOURNEY

Humans have got a very powerful weapon by default, through which they can invent and discover anything they want to – CURIOSITY. With the help of this curiosity they have made tremendous progress in space exploration

When did it all start?

From the beginning of the human race, mankind’s curiosity about cosmos has always got better of it . Starting with the shape of earth many philosophers suggested the shape , but one of the first person to offer the proof of spherical shape of earth was the Greek philosopher Aristotle ,he observed it from the cosmic event called lunar eclipse. Going forward more discoveries took place which revealed the common facts such as solar system ,the sun ,the moon and our galaxy i.e milky way . From discovering nearby stars to discovering nearby galaxies mankind has made prolific growth in this field .

Discovering impossible!

As i said earlier with the help of curiosity we can achieve, invent and discover anything , when sir Albert Einstein published his theory on general relativity in 1915 ,he made some predictions like existence of black hole, Einstein ripples/gravitational waves with the help of his theory. To prove these predictions practically was next to impossible back then ,but with the help of technology and persistent efforts after 100 years we discovered gravitational waves which gives the proof of existence of black hole . Three years after this discovery we were able to capture the image of black hole an impossible task 100 years ago . This shows how rapidly we evolve in space exploration.

But something is going wrong!

Let me take you to the darker side of this story. Although we are making progress in this field but still we are lagging to some extent. For instance ,NASA didn’t send humans on moon from past two-three decades , this is not because they don’t want to but because of financial barriers . Yes, we are lagging behind because of lack of funding. People who don’t know about space research much and its prominence for mankind makes less investment in this field or make objection on funding in space exploration. In 1970 shortly after Apollo landing a lady from Africa wrote a letter to NASA in which she asked how could they justify spending billions on Apollo program when children were starving to death ,NASA replied to this by giving an of example of a man who was getting funds from some people during plague while other people objected “ We are suffering from plague while they are paying him for his useless hobby! “ . Later that man invented Microscope with the help of funds he get during plague . Now it is well known that the microscope has contributed more than any other invention to the progress of medicine and that the elimination of plague and many other contagious disease.

At this point we all need to understand spending in space research would not give you quick output but the upcoming generation would be safe . Spending in space research is like investing money for our future generations cause everyone knows nothing is forever, same in the case of earth we have to find its alternative, so that by the end of earth there would not be the end of mankind . And some people are really working hard for this ,like Elon musk (a man from future) we need some more personalities like him.

What’s next ?

When we hear the word” Cosmos “ the first thing comes to our mind is “ Infinity” . Scientists like sir Friedman predict that the universe is not infinite in space neither does space have any boundary, confused ? Just remember” Infinity” . In the end i would like to inform you that we have just began our cosmic journey we have a long journey a head a lot more to come because we have discovered only 4% of universe

Mysteries of universe

Although we are getting better day by day in space exploration but some questions are still remain unanswered like what is our position in universe? , are we alone ?. Likewise we have theoretical proof of some mysterious things in universe but at this time we can’t prove these mysteries practically for instance ,,dark matter , wormhole , white whole etc . Though to prove these things practically is not possible for now but in future as we become more advance then it would be possible to prove these theories practically and we may get answers of our unanswered questions.
