India's unsung heroes

India is famous for its rich history and freedom struggle ,but there is one thing that should also be acknowledged about India which is development of India after independence and bringing India on its track , so that we become less vulnerable and fragile to be colonized again and this masterwork had been accomplished by some eminent personalities . Are you able to recall them , how can you if you are not acquainted with their names and work , don’t worry I am going to give you brief idea about their work and associated names .

The first one , who is commonly known as father of Indian nuclear programme  Sir Homi Jehangir Bhabha , he is also a founder of BARC (Bhabha Atomic Research Centre ) , which has big impact on India’s defence and development of nuclear fuel . Second one is Sir Vikram Ambala Sarabhai an Indian physicist and astronomer ,he founded India’s first and only space agency known as ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) .  Then next is Sir Mankombu Sambasivan Swaminathan an Indian geneticist famous for his contribution in India’s Green Revolution next is Sir Jamshetji Nusserwanji Tata regarded as Father Of Indian Industry ,he founded Tata Group , India’s biggest conglomerate , next one is Sir Verghese Kurien known as Father Of White Revolution In India , he was the head of “ Operation Flood” which was launched in 1970s to make India self -dependent in milk production , next is Sir Murlidhar Devidas Amte commonly known as Baba Amte was an Indian social worker and social activist known for his benevolence work for rehabilitation and empowerment of people suffering from leprosy . If you want to know more such names then here is a Link  .

These people have gained prominent recognition in their times and needless to say with time respect and recognition increase , but some thing is going wrong with our generation and with this time , I can frankly say that fifty percent people might not be aware about these personalities and some might have come across such names for the first time, even I was also not aware about one such personality . Why this is happening? We are more interested in corrupt political leaders , actors and their controversies . We live in a time where one can tell you about day-to-day life of a actor but will not able to tell the names of current  Indian philanthropists .  Complying to current situation I think if Sir APJ Abdul Kalam hadn’t became president of India ,we would not be aware about him and his struggle and he would be in the list of names that I have mentioned above , sad but true . Do we really able to differentiate heroes and real heroes of India? or we just have lost the sense of importance?

Everyone knows freedom fighters but what about the ones who made India to stand still on its feet . On this national festival let’s not confine our awareness and appreciation to only political leaders and freedom fighters , let’s take a moment to appreciate and spread a word about these unsung heroes of India .

The big difference between politiciand and a social worker is that social worker never exaggerate their work.
